Arnie Chase
I have lived in Wilsonville nearly 50 years, 30 of which in Merryfield where we raised two of
our 6 kids here. Have seen a lot of growth and change over the years in Wilsonville, and
dearly care about our community and neighborhood. I served on the HOA board early on,
then fought for 3 years to keep the prison out of the Dammasch State Hospital Property, aka
Villebois. About 4 years ago felt the need to serve again on the HOA board.
I’ve been involved in service most of my life, here are some examples:
- Served in the military for three years in the middle of getting a double engineering degree
- Helped out in the church youth program with my three sons, going on missions trips
- Served on several church boards, one as chairman
- At the county level I am the West Clackamas County Assistant Emergency Coordinator for the Amateur Radio Emergency Services for over 20 years
- At the city level operate and maintain the amateur radio stations at the EOC, alternate EOC in the new Public Works Building, as well as the station at Water Treatment Plant
- Involved in the BSA for 16 years and served as Committee Chairman, Asst. and Scout Master
- Class Administrator with Bible Study Fellowship for 16 years.
I love living here in Merryfield, care about our neighborhood, have a lot of experience in
leadership and would appreciate your support to re-elect me to the board for another term.

My family and I have lived in Wilsonville and the Park at Merryfield for over 8 years now.
Prior to moving here, my husband and two children and I lived in Arizona, Idaho and
Wyoming. When we lived in Boise, I served on our neighborhood HOA. Our neighborhood had 1800 homes, hundreds of acres of common area, along with multiple pools, gym, library, racquetball, and event spaces. We were able to keep our dues at just $35 a month for each home.
While the Park at Merryfield doesn’t have many amenities, it is still important to maintain
our Common Areas in a safe and aesthetically pleasing way while minimizing costs to
homeowners.
The last eighteen months, I have been on the Board as the Treasurer and enjoy working
with the other Board Members. I appreciate the opportunity to serve our neighborhood
and help keep the Park at Merryfield as great as it can be.

In the past I have helped to revamp the HOA website, as well as improved the information we make available, and set up the online payments for annual dues. Note: please send us suggestions, as we’re probably due for some new improvements! I still maintain the HOA website, mainly just posting content (Vikki does most of the actual work). I previously helped on the board, but did not run for re-election last term. I helped knock on doors to talk to people about turning in ballots for raising our dues last year, so thanks for talking with me if I spoke to you.
A little about me: Wendy and I have two kids (one at Wood and one at Wilsonville High). I’m a software engineer, a volunteer with the scouts and a Blazers/Timbers fan. My family moved to Wilsonville in 2014 from Portland and are so glad that we chose to live in Merryfield.
Rene’e James
My name is Rene’e James. I have previously served on the Board of Park at Merryfield Board since 2021. I have lived in this neighborhood since 2016 and chose to stay here in this great neighborhood to raise our 2 daughters. It is important to me to be a responsible Board Member and help keep our community safe and a desirable place to live. I would like to continue to help with issues that arise with residents in a unified and professional manner.
On a personal note, I own a Physical Therapy practice here in town with my husband Jason. Community is very important to us and would like to continue to help serve the residents of the Park at Merryfield. The past two years we have utilized our clinic, Boones Landing Physical Therapy to hold
the HOA meetings which has made it very consistent for the Board.
